Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are your safety measures to reduce transmission of the Canine Respiratory Virus?
Happy Buddy Grooming has maintained strict safety and cleaning protocols since the COVID-19 pandemic. Team members are masked to risk transmission of COVID-19, influenza, and other communicable diseases. All grooming surfaces and tools are cleaned and sanitized between each appointment. No pets come into contact with anyone other than their team members present during the appointment. No pets are serviced if they present any symptoms of the canine respiratory virus, parvovirus, or other diseases.
  • My pet is matted.. how can you help?
No worries! We understand there are circumstances where mats occur and setting up a grooming service is the first step. Happy Buddy Grooming does not brush out any mats or knots. The only way to a healthy coat is to have a "reset haircut", where the coat is shaved or cut to a safe length. From there, we are able to work towards desired length and/or style.
  • How often should I have my pet(s) groomed?
In general, your pet(s) should see their groomer every 2-4 weeks for Bath & Brush and 6-8 weeks for Full Groom. Maintenance depends as each pet has a unique coat and type of lifestyle. It is also contingent upon at-home coat care aka brushing. Bonus: Consistent appointments provide stability and encourage a healthy relationship between your pet(s) and their groomer! 🫶
  • How long do appointments take?
Our grooming services typically last around 1-1.5 hours per pet. Please understand, Happy Buddy Grooming prioritizes your pet(s) safety over results. Do not rush and try to be patient during the appointments. If there are any scheduling conflicts, be sure to reserve a time window where you or a secondary contact are home throughout the duration of the appointment.
  • I can't make my appointment, what should I do?
No worries! If you are unable to keep the reserved appointment and you need to reschedule/cancel your pet's appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. You can text/call to leave a message. We will try our best to accommodate and reschedule your appointment, however it is not guaranteed. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to be able to edit the appointment. Reschedule or cancellation notices of 24 hours or less, require the full quoted service amount to be charged. Frequent last minute rescheduling and/or no-shows may result in termination of future grooming services. Refer to our cancellation policy linked on this page.
  • What do I need to do before my appointment?
Provide a copy of your pet(s)'s vaccination records or veterinarian note for exemption. This can be done by text or email to woof@happybuddygrooming.com That's it! We do not need to connect to your home’s water supply. Note: For dogs over 60 lbs we may need to connect to an external power source.
  • I need a grooming appointment ASAP!
We are happy to help! Unfortunately, our groomers are booked a minimum of 8-10 weeks ahead, so same day bookings are generally unavailable. However, we may have an opening/rescheduling so feel free to leave a note when requesting an appointment!
  • How can I schedule a grooming service?
Fill out the booking request form and a team member will reach out as soon as possible. To schedule and confirm any appointment(s), a non-refundable deposit is required. Deposits are $50/pet per appointment. (ex. 1 pet = $50 deposit, 2 pets = $100 deposit.) Deposits are subtracted from total when you checkout after grooming service is complete. This policy serves to reserve the appointment for you and your pet(s) only.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
We accept most magstripe or chip cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover. Don't have access to your physical card? We accept Apple Pay + Touch Pay as well.
  • How much do you charge?
An estimated grooming service quote is provided during the consultation. We do not provide a set service total as it depends on your pet(s) coat condition, type of service, breed, temperament, and any special requests.
